The author of the trilingual educational and methodological manual for working with microscope slides “Multilingual Educational and Methodological Guide for Working with a Set of Biological Materials” is D.V. Ponomorev.
Within the framework of the Innovation Support Fund project of Pavlodar State Pedagogical Institute, a trilingual educational and methodological manual for working with microscope slides was developed and published in 2018. The main idea of this manual is to develop biological conceptual understanding in school and university students through practical, independent work with a microscope. Due to its concise text, illustrative materials with explanations, and professional translation, the manual is useful for both school students and university students majoring in biological sciences.
The set of microscopic specimens includes both classical slides from the school curriculum (human blood smear, frog blood smear, epithelial tissues, cartilage sections, bone structure) as well as materials from specialized histology (microscopic structure of the circulatory, respiratory, reproductive, nervous, and excretory systems of mammals). The set also includes eight slides from the section on invertebrate zoology.
The collection consists of 50 different permanent stained microscope slides (on glass slides measuring 25 × 76 mm). Each slide has a serial number and a label in three languages. All slides are packaged in a plastic storage box (200 × 80 × 31 mm).
The manual was prepared within the framework of the intramural project of Pavlodar State Pedagogical Institute titled “Methodological Support of Multilingual Education in the Training of Future Biology Teachers” (2016).

Zhumabekova B.K. Parasite Fauna of Fish in the Kazakhstan Irtysh Region: Monograph / B.K. Zhumabekova. – Pavlodar: Abylkas Saginov Pavlodar Pedagogical University (named after Alkey Margulan), 2025. – 114 p.
The monograph provides comprehensive data on parasites of various fish families, including sturgeons, salmonids, graylings, pikes, burbots, perches, carps, and loaches inhabiting water bodies of the Irtysh River basin within Kazakhstan. The study presents information on the degree of parasitic infection in fish, the localization of parasites within the host organism, and their impact on fish health. Particular attention is given to the epidemiological and epizootological significance of parasitic diseases affecting fish in the Kazakhstan part of the Irtysh basin.
The monograph is intended for parasitologists, ichthyologists, ecologists, students, and specialists in aquaculture, sanitary supervision, and veterinary science. It is also of interest to researchers working on biodiversity and the ecology of aquatic ecosystems.
